Most recently, as a not-for-profit in the community,
kicking off our first major capital campaign, raising
funds for an expansion. The Reading/North Reading Chamber
Commerce has served as a place for us to share our story,
adopt new ambassadors, and gain the support and exposure
we desperately need to further our cause.

When I first joined the Chamber, I was very happy with
the warm welcoming response by the executive director
and all the members. The Chamber is a great organization
to be part of and consistantly keeps you up to date
with all of the ways to improve your business and the
great benefit of networking among other local business
owners and the importance of supporting your town.

Lumina Salon celebrated our first year anniversary
on April 8th in Reading. One of the first critical things
that we did was to join the Reading, North Reading Chamber
of Commerce .We didn't realize it at the time being
a new business (and delving into many things at once
to help get the business off of the ground) how much
of an impact being an active chamber member would be.
Being the premiere sponsor of the "Women celebrating
Women" event was a very worthwhile endeavor for
Lumina Salon. It has already generated new clients for
most of our staff. We look forward to being active participants
in future events with the chamber. Irene is a pleasure
and a true professional to work with. She helped to
make our first big involvement a lot of fun and a big
success. The event was ambitious to say the least and
a great way to familiarize the community with each other.

"Through the Reading/North Reading Chamber events
we have been given opportunities to network with new
customers and collaborate with other businesses. We
have noticed a dramatic increase in our customer base
and community relationships. One of our favorite events
was the "Women Celebrating Women" event where
we were really able to promote our jewelry line."
